IRISH WAVE aims to enable Beijingers to gain insight into contemporary Irish Culture, to portray the diversity and global aspect of ‘Irishness’. In order to achieve this we are holding a series of exhibitions & installations across a broad spectrum of themes at venues which are accessible to the widest and most diverse possible section of the Beijing community.

Beijing will be exposed to the richness of Irish cultural heritage and the cutting edge practise of Irish artists whose work will be shown side by side with their Chinese peers at these events. A documentary film of IRISH WAVE will be distributed after the event. Irish Wave is a celebration of ongoing cultural partnership.

The Previews will be formally opened by His Excellency Declan Kelleher, Ambassador of Ireland to the People’s Republic of China.
