In
September 2009 BIGsmall curated a group exhibition of contemporary
Irish and Chinese art in the Nunnery Gallery
The exhibition showcased the work of 7 Irish and 6 Chinese contemporary visual artists, sculptors & painters. It was held at the Nunnery Gallery (Bow Arts Trust) was formally opened by the Irish Ambassador his Excellency Bobby McDonagh..
The exhibition benefited from having a describer provided by VocalEyes who will guide visitors who are blind around the exhibition on one of the open days. This is the first time a describer has been provided for an exhibition outside of a museum or major public gallery. There is also excellent disabled access.
We wanted to present work with integrity and beauty that would interest and attract people from all backgrounds and of all ages and abilities.
